Life is Better With Community

We don't just live and do business in our community; we also get involved by sponsoring, volunteering and participating when neighbors need a helping hand.

It’s living out our brand promise “Life is Better with Community” and one of our core values. It's an opportunity to give back, a chance to learn, develop relationships, and create memories. It's also a lot of fun.

Charity Causes

Each year, FCCU’s 260 employees vote and select charity causes to support by raising funds and awareness. From food relieve to health-related causes and more, our charity focus is just another way FCCU supports those in need.

Our current charity cause is American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

We are excited to partner with Dakota Dirt Coffee again to sell Coffee for a Cause. Branches will be selling bags of coffee for $16 with all proceeds going to AFSP. *Limited while supplies last

All FCCU branches are also selling HOPE bracelets. Join us in wearing hope on your wrist. Bracelets can be purchased at any branch for $1 and all proceeds will go to AFSP.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Veterans Support

With Veteran's Day around the corner, we wanted to remind our members about the resources available to veterans.

According to the Department of Veterans Affairs’ National Veteran Suicide Prevention Annual Report (2019), the suicide rate among Veterans is 1.5 times greater than the non-Veteran population ages 18+, with over 6,000 Veterans dying by suicide each year. Despite accounting for just 7.9% of the population, Veterans account for 13.5% of all suicide deaths in the United States.

There is no single cause of suicide among Veterans and Service members, but by treating and preventing mental health and substance use conditions, addressing access to lethal means (firearms accounted for 69.4% of Veteran suicides in 2017), and empowering Veterans and Service members to live and thrive in their communities, we can save lives.

For more information about firearms and suicide prevention, please see the toolkit for safe firearm storage in your community resource that was created in partnership with the VA and NSSF.
