For the sixth year in a row, First Community Credit Union was selected as a recipient of the Bismarck-Mandan YP Network Top 10 Young Professional Workplaces Award. With a record number of entries, FCCU was awarded and recognized for this honor at the Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals Celebration and Annual Meeting.

The Top 10 Young Professional Workplaces Award, created in 2007, recognizes local businesses committed to recruiting and retaining talented young professionals. Businesses are evaluated for employing young professionals under the age of 40 and also for their benefits, inclusion and professional development. FCCU was chosen as a recipient based on several things that made us stand out amongst the rest:

• Community Involvement
• 401K and medical benefits, as well as a very generous profit sharing and OPB
• Staff that continuously gets promoted within our company
• Positive culture and environment. From our team building activities we do as a staff, to the fact that our President/CEO Steve Schmitz knows facts about each person whose name he draws for prizes at our Christmas party, we have a great culture
• Percentage of young staff we have employed at FCCU and within Bismarck/Mandan

Additionally, FCCU was recognized as the Community Champion Partner for Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals. This award was given for FCCU’s continuous support of the network and for hosting young professional events in the past.
