FCCU to Support Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Organizations

FCCU’s second charity cause of the year, as chosen by FCCU staff, is suicide prevention and mental health. Throughout the next six months, FCCU will hold various fundraisers to support different organizations.
One organization FCCU will be supporting is the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) Minnesota and North Dakota chapters. The majority of funds raised for this organization stay local by going into prevention education programs, training, and support. Funds also support state advocacy programs and events. The portion of donations going to the organization as a whole, are used to develop programing, national advocacy efforts, and research. AFSP is the largest private funder of suicide and suicide prevention research. More information can be found at https://afsp.org/.
Last year, FCCU staff participated in the Out of the Darkness Walks. This will be something FCCU staff take part in, once again. All members are welcome to join us. Please contact your local branch to join a team.

Additionally, these branches will also be yard sign pick-up locations for AFSP.
Finally, all FCCU branches will be selling HOPE bracelets. Join us in wearing hope on your wrist. Bracelets can be purchased at any branch for $1 and all proceeds will go to AFSP.
