FCCU to Support Children & Youth Causes

FCCU’s first charity cause for the year, as voted for by members and staff, is Children and Youth causes. Charity efforts will be spread out across quarters one and two, with many of the funds going towards Sanford Children's Hospital Fargo's new Micro-Preemie unit.

To kick off the year, we will be supporting Project Ignite Light! FCCU will be holding a Blanket and Pajama drive at each branch to benefit the organization.

Now through March 15th, branches are accepting donations of new two-piece pajama sets in sizes newborn through 18 years of age.  Members may also drop off new tie blankets. Please follow blanket instructions per Project Ignite Light. See here.

Project Ignite Light is an organization that gives thousands of abused children a piece of security and hope. They provide ‘Bags of Hope’ to every reported abused child in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Each bag is customized for the child and includes a blanket, pajamas, toiletries, a flashlight, a book, and a water bottle. Click to learn more about Project Ignite Light.

Additionally, we’re pleased to be including Special Olympics North Dakota in our support of Children and Youth.

Fundraising efforts throughout the first half of the year will include Jeans Fridays, Flannel Casual for a Cause Day, a silent auction, sales of World’s Best Chocolate bars and more.

Stay tuned for more updates on charity causes! Thank you to our community and members for their support.
