Sheena Bateson (nee Mattson) returned to her childhood town of Kindred, ND in 2017. The intermediate time was spent getting a BSc degree at NDSU in microbiology and veterinary technology, and working at animal hospitals in MN, WI, and ND. After 11 years as a veterinary technician, she made the jump into a finance career as a teller at Elm River Credit Union in Kindred. After the merger with FCCU, she quickly transitioned into a Financial Service Officer position. Her current role is a Senior Financial Service Specialist where she helps current and new members with home equity and consumer loans. Sheena enjoys helping members with their financial services in this growing community.

When away from her desk, Sheena enjoys flexing a green thumb in her pollinator garden as a Master Gardener and hiking in the Sheyenne National Grasslands with her husband and two sons.
